    Softball whomps in-state rival Utes in five innings

        The Utah State softball team found some offense Wednesday as they went head-to-head with the University of Utah. The Aggies defeated their in-state rivals 12-2 in five innings at home.     The Aggies fought against the cold weather with red-hot bats as they scored 12 runs for the second straight game.

    High-scoring weekend for softball outdone by higher-scoring Bulldogs

        Mother Nature allowing, the Utah State softball team headed to the diamond to take on the Bulldogs of Fresno State. The weather held out but the Aggies couldn't capitalize as they dropped all three games in the series.     This weekend's games in Logan mark just the fourth time the Aggies have played at home all season.

    Three pitchers combine for a 3-0 shutout at Idaho State

        Three pitchers combined for a two-hit shutout as the Utah State softball team defeated Idaho State, 3-0, Wednesday in Chubbuck, Idaho. The Aggies took on the rain and wind along with the Bengals as USU dealt with rain off and on all game.

    Softball battles harsh weather to take two of three from BSU

        It was a race against the sunset Saturday night as the Aggie softball team pulled out its second win to take the weekend series against Boise State.     After losing the first game of Saturday's double-header 10-1, the Aggies retaliated to win the later game 7-6.
