In its second game of the weekend, the Utah State club hockey team beat the San Diego State University Aztecs 7-3 Saturday night.

The game was close midway through the second period with the score tied 2-2. Brothers Shaun and Brian Gibbons scored 30 seconds apart in the first period to put Utah State up 2-0. However, the Aztecs would get one back before the intermission and then score first in the second period.

Afterwards, the floodgates opened and the Aggies scored five straight goals to put the game out of reach. Brian Gibbons completed the hat trick with a brilliant goal that involved pickpocketing the goalie and scoring on a wrap-around, all while shorthanded.

Joining the Gibbons brothers on the score sheet were forwards Chris Videto, Stu Hepburn, and Dee Fontaine.

Bryce Scherschel made 33 saves on the night for the Aggies in the net.
