Behind a career-high 27 points from Jarred Shaw, the Utah State men’s basketball team got back in the win column Thursday with a 77-67 win over Idaho on the road.

The Aggies raced to an 18-3 lead and withstood a rally from the Vandals to close it out down the stretch.

Utah State shot 59 percent for the game and had three players reach double figures as Marcel Davis scored 16 points and Spencer Butterfield recorded a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds.

The Aggies improved to 15-5 overall and 6-4 in conference play while the Vandals dropped to 8-12 overall and 4-6 in the WAC.

USU will continue its 3-game road trip with a visit to Seattle on Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 8 p.m.
